When will the lessons be ready?

Excellent question. There’s no easy answer to this. Even though the classes will be a straight forward as possible, each lesson takes quite a while to make and I’ll release them after I feel like they’re ready for public consumption.

Is this similar to other online animation schools?

No, not really. Animation for Anyone will be a free resource that will live online and operate much like a video textbook. It will try to avoid teaching software specific skills and instead focus on fundamental concepts in animation.

What software will I need?

The lessons are all designed to be taught without the need of any specific software, although at a minimum you will need access to a smart phone or computer in order to compile the footage. Supplemental classes may be taught using specific software. I’ll make a call on those after the main syllabus has been completed.
